Top tips bring big zander on the final night! |
Hi Steve
Yeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Final night of the river season and at 8.30 pm my sons far bank rod, Middle Level at Crooked Chimney went off. He initially thought he was snagged then it started moving and he played a fish that he said shook its head like nothing he has played before. Then as my headlight illuminated the water she came into view, a ZANDER and a plump female at that.

Testimonial - Ron Fox - Zander Fishing |
|
Dear Steve,
I just have to say thanks again for last nights trip after the Zander.
You just couldn't do enough to make sure that the trip was a success
and I think you were as chuffed as I was when I took my first ever zed.
Your extensive knowledge of where the fish were likely to be and their habits
certainly paid off.
Roll on Autumn and a return trip after a double !
Best Wishes
Ron

An extremely enjoyable experience! |
|
I have just had a one day pike fishing excursion with Steve Younger in and around the Fenland drains and it was an extremely enjoyable experience.
We set out at 7.00 am in heavy snowfall and i must admit my expectations were not high.
The roads were treacherous to say the least, but Steves' 4wd coped very well with the conditions.
All the rods were set up and ready to go and I was into a decent fish at our first venue. |

Testimonial- Zander trip for Ian |
|
While I have had some good zander over the last couple of seasons, I wanted to learn more about how Steve fishes, his methods, tackle, bait and areas fished etc, so I booked a night with him.
We met at his shop and he told me roughly where we would be fishing, but when we were driving there I was soon completely lost. He went across farm tracks and over fields to a place I didn't even know existed.
The weather was terrible when we got there, with gales, and freezing cold rain, but Steve said this wasn't a problem for the fishing. He was soon proved right, when I got a run on a dead roach fished close in. As soon as Steve netted it we both knew it was a big fish and it weighed in at 13lb !
